Dodge Avenger (JS). 2008 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1968 cm³ diesel, 2360 cm³ petrol (4 cyl. DOHC), 2736, 3605 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 3518 cm³ (V6 OHC). Awkward-looking mid-size sedan, known for poor fit and finish in its early years, poor braking and, for the OHC V6, poor fuel economy. Poor visibility, thanks to large C-pillars. Not that roomy for its class. Overhauled for 2011 model year, with greatly improved economy thanks to DOHC V6, and better acceleration. Average handling, but far better with R/T, which has the same engine, but chassis tweaks. Cabin improved with better plastics, but still attracting buyers on price rather than dynamics. Related to Chrysler Sebring (2007–10) and 200 successor.
