Ford Flex (D471/Hamptons). 2009 to date (prod. over 87,000 sold). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 3496 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Originally shown as Fairlane concept, large, roomy, boxy wagon replaced Ford Freestyle for 2009 model year, supposedly blending minivan and SUV concepts. Two V6s: one Duratec, with only moderate performance, one EcoBoost with turbocharger. Very refined with good ride and quietness, and handling and economy about average for the class. Not much of a looker, and trailled competitors in sales.
