Genesis (BH). 2008 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3342, 3778 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 4627, 5038 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Hyundai goes after the big guns with a large rear-wheel-drive sedan, meant to fight Jaguars and BMWs. Called Genesis in Korea, but exported with the Hyundai marque to most other countries, and meant to mark the beginning of its luxury ambitions. BMW 5er-Reihe benchmarked in development, and it shows. Coupé added to range in 2009; Tau V8 with 5·0-litre displacement from 2011, with a bored-out version of the 4·6. Lane departure warning system, eight-speed gearbox in top 5·0 R-Spec.
