Holden Calais (VK). 1984–6 (prod. 135,705, incl. Commodore and HDT). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3298 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV), 4987, 5044 cm³ (V8 OHV). Upscale version of Commodore, replacing VH SL/E as well as Statesman. New name tried unconvincingly to bridge the gap—everyone knew it was really a Commodore—though more smartly appointed than the base models. New V8 (4987 cm³) from 1985.
