Hyundai Stellar. 1983–7 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/R, 1493, 1597, 1997 cm³ (4 cyl. SOHC). Rebodied Ford Taunus 80 (Hyundai was making Cortinas under licence) with attractive ItalDesign body and Mitsubishi engines. Good packaging, simple car, sold on cheapness. Helped Hyundai’s growth in the 1980s and replaced by Sonata.
