Reliant Scimitar GTE (SE6b). 1980–6 (prod. 437 approx.). 3-door estate. F/R, 2792 cm³ (V6 OHV). Ford no longer offered the V6 Essex engine and had switched to the Köln unit. Reliant had to follow suit, with a lower ratio on the rear axle to compensate for having less torque. Plusher than ever; galvanized chassis from 1981. Last of the line before the rights were sold to Middlebridge for its Scimitar models.
