Samsung SM5 (A34R)

Samsung SM5 (A34R). 2004–10 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1998 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Nissan Teana (J31) clone, and virtually identical to the Japanese model. Very similar SM7 took the top position in Samsung range, so only two-litre engine offered in this generation. Fairly conventional styling. Facelift in 2007, with a smoother front end that distanced SM5 from Teana, and exports to the Middle East as Renault Safrane began in 2009.
