Triumph Spitfire Mk III. 1967–70 (prod. 65,320). 2-door convertible. F/R, 1296 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). First major changes to Spitfire. Outwardly, US safety regulations meant raising the bumpers, improving the looks. Under the bonnet, a new engine, bored out from original, producing 75 bhp. Factory folding hood, but hardtop optional. In 1968, 100,000th Spitfire made.
